Induction Module: Setting Expectations
The aim of this module is to to introduce the training programme and the topics included and how these relate to supporting mothers in re-entering the workforce or making career transitions. It also looks at the importance of motivation and soft skills in one’s career development. The module provides learners with an opportunity to determine where their existing skillset is and what are the next steps for improving it. Learners are also supplied with tips and additional resources to further expand their knowledge on the above mentioned topics.

Module 1: Career Orientation & Goal Setting
The aim of this module is to empower mothers by enhancing their knowledge and skills to tackle key challenges such as balancing work and family, limited education, restricted job opportunities in their field, and lack of access to career guidance – issues identified as major concerns during the needs analysis undertaken at the start of the project.

Module 2: Motivation and Career Strategies
The aim of this module is to equip learners with the understanding, skills, and attitudes necessary to enhance their personal and career development. This involves recognizing and leveraging both intrinsic and extrinsic motivators, building resilience, self-confidence, and fostering a growth mindset, recognizing the importance of their mental health. Additionally, it aims to support learners in developing strategies for career success through personal reflection, the cultivation of a positive mindset, and the creation of a tailored career plan.

Module 3: Overcoming Barriers to Continue Your Education
The aim of this module is to empower mothers with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize the importance of education in their lives, identify and overcome personal barriers to pursuing further education, navigate available educational opportunities, and set and achieve realistic educational goals. By addressing these key areas, participants will be better equipped to take proactive steps toward their educational aspirations and personal development.

Module 4: Essential Soft Skills for Your Success in Education and Beyond
The aim of this module is to equip mothers with valuable interpersonal and personal development skills that are vital for success in both educational and professional settings. Recognizing that mothers often juggle multiple roles and responsibilities, this module focuses on nurturing skills like effective communication, time management, problem-solving, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. These soft skills not only enhance their ability to support their own educational pursuits but also empower them to foster a positive, supportive environment for their children’s learning. Ultimately, the module is designed to build confidence, resilience, and a proactive mindset, ensuring that mothers can thrive personally, academically, and professionally.

Module 5: Essential Soft Skills for Your Success in Education and Beyond
This lesson aims to enhance digital competency to meet the demands of modern educational and professional environments. It addresses gaps in digital skills that participants have identified, emphasising that strong digital abilities are essential for success in today’s job market. The module supports individuals in ongoing digital skill development, helping them keep pace with evolving expectations and technological advancements, even in regions where skill levels are already high. The focus is on continuous improvement, highlighting the importance of digital skills for both career and educational progression.

Module 6: Pathways to Professional Growth
This module aims to expand participants’ understanding of professional growth pathways by providing support in areas critical for work readiness, such as CV writing, interview preparation, and job search mentoring. The module also aims to enhance inclusivity and cultural awareness, recognizing the influence of diverse cultural backgrounds on professional development. By addressing these areas, Module 6 supports participants in building skills and knowledge necessary for successful entry and progression in the workforce.
